On May 8, 2019, we went to see the Padres play the Mets at the stadium in downtown San Diego. We had met Michael and Harry at the Santa Fe station where they had taken Amtrak from San Clemente. We walked from the station to the stadium, and as we were about to cross the Harbor Drive Pedestrian Bridge, we say a train pulling in and stopping near the bridge, parallel to Harbor drive. It had a BNSF freight engine and a bunch of passenger train cars. I called BNSF a few days later and found out they use this train for a variety of functions, including customer and executive trips, a Christmas train, and for employee and other special events like for the Make a Wish foundation.
These were taken about noon on May 8, 2019, from Harbor Drive, the bridge, and Park Boulevard. A couple show the San Diego trolley going by.
